If doctoral students have taken the “Scientific Research Methods and Ethics” course in one of our Institute’s graduate programs, they will not take this course again, but will take an elective course instead and apply to the Institute for exemption.
  • If the Scientific Research Methods and Ethics course or an equivalent course has been taken from other universities during their graduate education, the student must apply for exemption through the Department Head with a petition including the advisor’s opinion. If exemption is granted, an elective course must be taken instead of this course.
  • If the “Scientific Research Methods and Ethics” course was taken in the master's program or an equivalent course was exempted, this course cannot be taken again in the doctorate. If taken, it will not be included in the credit course calculation of the doctorate program.
  • If doctoral students request exemption from the compulsory course(s) of the Department, the student must apply to the Institute through the Department Head with a petition including the advisor's opinion. If exemption is granted, an elective course is taken instead of the compulsory course for which exemption is granted.
  • Master's students cannot take the compulsory course(s) of the department they are registered to in the doctorate program.
