Application Areas
ESOGÜ Faculty of Agriculture Ali Numan Kıraç Campus has lands divided into sections;
  • There are 70 collection gardens consisting of various soft and hard-core fruit species (apple, pear, plum, cherry, sour cherry, peach, nectarine) and 10 vegetable parcels.
  • There is a 500 m2 plastic greenhouse.
ESOGÜ Faculty of Agriculture Sarıcakaya-Mayıslar Campus has lands belonging to our Faculty;
  • There is a 400 decare orchard consisting of various fruit species. Some of the species we grow are cherries, pomegranates, olives, plums, figs, peaches, apricots, persimmons, pistachios.
  • An olive oil pressing facility has been established in the building belonging to our faculty located in Mayıslar Campus and started its activities at the end of 2011.
  • The Sarıcakaya- Mayıslar region has a microclimate feature due to its climate conditions and has a climate feature similar to the Aegean-Mediterranean climate. This situation provides a great advantage in terms of horticultural cultivation.
